So much of the morning was spent sleeping. Gwen had fallen asleep on the couch. Anja had fallen asleep on her bed. Both Todd and the skogkatt, which Gwen hadn't gotten the name of yet, had fallen asleep near their owners. There had been a few pleasantries exchanged beforehand, with Anja even offering Gwen the bed, but Gwen was tired from blood loss and fear, and Anja was tired from an overnight clinic shift, and so the first thing that had to happen, for both of them, was sleep.
When Gwen woke up again, she found Todd snuggled in next to her head, though the dog seemed to sense his person's return to consciousness, because he looked up at her as soon as her eyes were open. That was nice. Gwen had missed that. It was a good day to have something familiar and comforting. She wasn't sure where else that comfort would come from here while she was afraid of her two best friends here. She hoped that Anja could help with that, but she knew going in that they didn't know each other all that well. She was still thrilled that the other feytouched had offered to sit with her.
By the sound of it, Anja was up already, but it took a moment for Gwen to decide if she wanted to go back to sleep or not. She had a bit of a headache, which she hoped sleep would have gotten rid of, and now she was a little body achey from where the vampire had grabbed her, but so far it felt like the nausea had passed. Sitting up didn't make her head spin as bad as it had earlier, either. She could have used a snack, but she wasn't sure that she wanted to try anything with more flavor than plain crackers. A quick glance at her phone showed a message from Yasiel asking to examine her, and Gwen quickly sent him a refusal. It probably would have been smart to get looked at, but it became complicated just because it was Yasiel. She'd avoided seeing Ford, so seeing his boyfriend felt wrong. If things went south, she'd ask Anja to try to find Birdie, she supposed. She didn't think things would get worse, though.
She rubbed her fingers hard into her forehead, hoping that it would alleviate some of her headache, and let out a long yawn before placing her dog on the floor. "What time is it?" she wondered through a yawn.
