Re: Now with corrected HTML! I also agree that while his childhood was materially good, he was emotionally deprived/abused. It's one of those childhoods where you KNOW that something is missing/wrong, but can't prove anything or put a finger on it.
This is why I think that Angeal stuck by Genesis so long partially out of guilt--I get the feeling as a kid he missed what was wrong but eventually twigged on to it, and then couldn't do anything to help, and it just killed him. And now, he kinda feels like if he had done something sooner or if he had said something to someone, Genesis wouldn't be so bad off. And if Angeal did feel like he was the one keeping Genesis together, he had to be feeling like he was failing, watching Genesis go sailing off the deep end this time.
I'll have to look at that fight again (yeah, twist my arm there. XD ) to look at Genesis's face right after he firebombs Angeal in the face, to see what his expression is like.
And I think Genesis definitely has some kind of personality disorder, that's for damned sure, and that with as much of a physical change as the deteriorations were making, they had to be causing mental changes as well, making him even more unstable than before.
