Ramirez ignored Fina as he saw the light collide with the Silver Moon. He simply stared at his oncoming death, as the pieces of the moon began falling. He didn't even hear her anymore; all he saw was the flaming rocks. By the time Fina could no longer speak, Ramirez was in another world. He saw the rocks falling towards Soltis, a large one in particular coming straight for the tower. It drew closer and closer, and Ramirez finally closed his eyes. "Goodbye, Fina." he said quietly, as he lowered his head, his eyes closed. He welcomed death. He had nothing left to live for. After he poured his heart out to Fina... after he killed the obstacle between them... after Galcian was dead, and could no longer interfere... after everything, she rejected him. Valua was gone. Galcian was gone. And now... Fina rejected him. At least they would die in a fire together, before being sent to spend an eternity in hell.
And so let it be told that as the flaming rocks drew closer, Ramirez felt his last trace of humanity grow stronger. The sadness he felt was overwhelming. Fina's rejection drew his last bit of humanity forth from his heart; ironic it is, then, that her refusal to love him again would finally cause him to lose the will to live. As he opened his eyes and saw the flaming rock now only a few hundred yards away from the tower, he smiled. He smiled at death. He would finally know peace... the peace that he thought Fina's love might bring. In his psychotic mind, killing Vyse would take away the distraction. It didnt; it consolidated her hatred for him.
