Things were different in this place. That was a given. He was glad that Soul and Kid were here, though he probably wouldn't ever admit it to the latter. He and Soul, however, they were cool friends together. He was happy that Soul had found someone with a similar wavelength to him here who could wield him and happy that Kid had Patti here, too, though he knew it bothered Kid like no other that he only had one of the twin pistol weapons here with him. No matter what, Black Star knew that he would never get another partner who was equal to Tsubaki. They had chosen each other and if that meant putting up with things here without her, then so be it. She could be her own shining star back home and deal with things there while he could be a big star and help out with things here. That's just how it was going to be.
Now, though, Black Star had taken it upon himself to patrol up on the wall. Not the outermost wall, though he was so tempted to step out onto that one to see the Titans again. But the second wall inside, the one where it was still slightly safe where he could see into the city, as well. None had really heard of the Star Clan here, which was a strange thing for someone like him. No one knew of his background or of his ancestry. He was safe here from putting up with all of that.
Dressed in his familiar black outfit, Black Star quietly mouthed the familiar Star Clan litany beneath his breath as he walked, "Assassin's Rule Number One - Silence: Dissolve in the darkness and erase your breath. Wait for an opening to attack your target. Assassin's Rule Number Two - Transpositional Thinking: Analyze the target in order to predict his thoughts and movements. Assassin's Rule Number Three - Speed: Take out the target before the target notices your presence." He paused when he finished the phrases, taking in a deeper, calming breath as he surveyed everyone again. This world really was a strange place, but no one seemed to know yet how they would be able to get back home.
