Formal Dinner Setting

In one half of the auditorium, there were round tables to seat 10, draped beautifully to present a formal event. A dinner (the students choice of rosemary chicken and potatoes or a veggie meal, salad, and ice cream) served with sparkling water, juice, and soda. The lights were dimmed appropriately and some music played in the background. The hired photography company was set up in another corner with a red/white/pink backdrop for pictures (individual/couple/groups) and all was going well. Dinner and pictures ended at 9pm, and the dance began promptly. Unlike most dances, there was a good mix of slow, mid-tempo, and fast songs. The atmosphere was filled with nerves and excitement and it was time to get the show started.

(All students can jump in. It's an on campus dance so feel free to start scenes outside if need be. Mingle and have fun! Happy Valentine's Day!)

When: Wednesday afternoon (3:30 to be exact) at AA's performing arts center
What: First Improv workshop
Open to: Members of the cast (who are all required to attend) as well as crew for the production

Katherine stood up on the stage, waiting for students to drift into the auditorium. She purposely made sure to be standing this time around so that as students came in, she could catch them and gesture for them to come and sit upfront. Once the turn out seemed just about right and people were settled, she moved closer to the edge of the stage and spoke up, kicking things off.

[Again, I'm going to be commenting this post with a few different scenarios/games. Feel free to reply to those and of course to start your own mini threads below my comments to interact with your fellow students. The games were picked because they seemed possible to play out in threads and that seemed like it would be fun to try. So don't be afraid to jump in and go for it!]

When - Saturday Night
Where - D.J.'s warehouse hide away, in the warehouse district.
Who - Open to anyone that wants to join the party.

- Tonight was hoping to be a wild night, the music was already jumpin', a mix of Snoop Dogg, Twister, and several other artists were flowing through those large speakers that he had set up at the four corners of the warehouse. Normally most of the space inside was reserved for a few of the rides he had acquired, and was working on, but tonight, they were out in the lot, leaving plenty of room for the guest to mingle, and even get their swerve on.

DJ made his way through the party, nodding to a few of the guests, a beer in his hand, taken from the open bar that he had set up. He eased his way up in the living area, and looked at the big screen TV, watching some of the underground street races that were flashing across the screen, before returning to his mingling around the warehouse.-

When: Monday afternoon (3:30 pm to be exact) at AA's performing Arts Center
What:Mandatory meeting for the cast and crew of Tony n Tina's wedding
Open to:Everyone who is on the cast and those who already are or wish to be part of the crew

Katherine sat at the edge of the stage, her legs tucked under each other. She was leaning back, resting most of her weight on her hands which were behind her. In her denim stripped pants, white sweater and glasses, she was the picture of casual, which was the exact vibe she was looking to go for with the meeting. She waited for the last few stragglers to make their way down toward the front before beginning to speak.

Who: Ryan and Hayden

Where: Outside on the Quad

When: After dinner

Why: Cause it has been forever since they have seen each other.

Rating: PG-13 for now.


After finishing her homework Hayden found she had nothing to do and felt extremely bored. With Hilary off at the dance studio, and Anna off hanging with Taylor, Hayden was the only one who was in their dorm room and she felt alone. She missed Ryan more than she thought possible since they had been very busy with school, and him with SATs and her with the spring play as well as the dance competition and she was still feeling the rush of the excitement she felt when she and Hilary performed their duo routine and had gotten rave reviews from the team as well as other people from school. She realized that dancing was her road to a fabouus career and she could not wait to tell Ryan about it when she saw him. She sent him a text saying to meet her outside on the quad and grabbed her iPod and walked outside while pulling her hair into a messy bun and found a spot near her favorite tree. She turned on her iPod and selected her dance music, and pressed play the first song comming on was "Wind it Up" by Gwen Stefani, one of her favorite artists to dance to and put her iPod in her pocket and feeling the music go through her she started to dance, her face in concentration as she danced, while waiting for Ryan to show up.

What: A scene along a popular Winter Park avenue.
Where: Park Ave in Winter Park
When: Late Wednesday afternoon
Who:Open to everyone

Park Ave was a beautiful and busy street in Winter Park, home to many stores and popular neighborhood restaurants. At this time in the afternoon, the normally quiet neighborhood was usually bustling with people who had either just gotten out of school or work. This is open to the entire community, so feel free to jump in...now!

What? Block Party 12pm- Sundown

Despite the cold and crisp weather Orlando was experiencing, the Gotti annual MLK BBQ was still in effect. This year, it was bigger than ever, having passed out flyers around town. It was being held along Greek Row at AU (thank you Dean Maya), with 2 djs, drinks, pool, games, contests, and of course GOTTI BBQ! 5 dollar cover charge for whoever wasn't an AU student. The night will be capped off with a bonfire around the massive lake. It's an all day affair, and EVERYONE can come, so jump in.

Notes:
- Of course, they'd be carding the AA kids, but if the kids are sneaky, the can get away with it;)
- There's a bikini contest being held by the AA Frat boys. A hottest body by the AA Sorority girls, and a dance (booty dancing) contest.
- Other games include whatever you want. There'll be a fiel open for football, soccer. Outdoor basketball courts. The Greek Row is near the schools best amenities.
- The Gotti's always take care of the kids, so there will be ballons and face painting available in the mini-park at AU.

After ushuring the New Year at the teen club, the seniors made sure that everyone knew of the "real" party spot- Cabin D (biggest Cabin in the place), and told everyone to be there by 1 am. Upon entering the cabin, people would find that the main area loked as such:

- All chairs/couches pushed to frame the room, leaving the center of the room free, save for a table (body shots and dancing only allowed on it, so there are bottles for shots) and two huge coolers of drinks. Most of the club like dancing will be going on in here, since there's so much space.

- A fake decent sized bar set-up in the kitchen, along with snacks, and a huge keg for keg stands.

- Happy New Years signs all over, streamers.

- Different music setup in every accessible room (kitchen, main room, deck)

- Hot tub for those who want on the deck, complete with 3 more cooloers of beer and drinks. Clean towels are off to the side near the table that holds the radio and cups and more snack. On the opposite end of the deck, there are chairs and a table for card games and chill time.

It's the party to kick off 2008, so do it big, do it crazy. Dancing, Fights, Body Shots, Nudity, Chilling, Nausea, etc.. are all encouraged! No guardians, no chance of it. Other schools are invited too, so let's show them how crazy our reputable school can get.

ALTAMONT HOLIDAY PARTY


Altamont University's Ballroom had turned into a holiday dream. There were 2 rooms, all beautifully decorated. One set-up for the dinner, and the other for the party. This thread is made for the party and mingling of Altamont folks only. The dinner portion has passed and now it's time to get on down to some classic and new music. There's a DJ and a live band alternating every half hour, playing requested songs. Everyone is invited, whether you signed up for the Secret Santa or not, so HAVE FUN!!

(Just a word of advice. If someone has started a thread of someone standing around, comment that person. We want interaction! This is a community-wide thread and a good time for folks to meet and party!)
