After a long day of classes, and a game last night, she was so tired that she was laying in the house's living room in sweats and a Pi Phi t-shirt, stretched out on the couch. And for once no one else was in the room. She wondered where everyone was, but at the same time enjoyed the sudden quiet for a few minutes til the sisters got back from whereever everyone was. She had just closed her eyes for a second when the front door slammed, and she jumped, and looked towards the door to see who was home.

Reese and Ryan's yard had been transformed into a blue and white baby shower heaven. Under a big white tent, there was a mini bar with mimosas and sodas, a buffet table, and of course, tables for the guests. A blue and white banner was hanging from the fence and a white wicker chair decorated with balloons and a bow for the guest of honor was set up near a gift table for when Jessica opened her gifts later on.

Guests, including Jess and Paul's family and close friends, were asked to arrive at two o'clock, and Paul was given strict instructions to bring Jessica over an hour later, at three. When the warning came that they were on their way over, Reese and Sophia quieted everyone down until Jess and Paul came through the back gate, when everyone yelled, "SURPRISE!!"

Hilary sighed as she made her way through the crowd. Most of these were people she didn't know. Her cousin and her firends have yet to show up so she jsut contented herself walking around, making small talk with people her mother thought it was more 'suitable' for her to spend time with.

she should have been happy. Hilary knew this. Afterall she was crowned Miss Orlando Teen. She didn't expect to win. After all she didn't putthatm uch effort into it as she usedot but her mother was acting like this was not a surprise that she knew... Hilary knew that were plenty of other girls there that were deserving of the crown. But could her mom have paid the judges off? the more she thought of this the more miserable she felt.. The more the thought of escaping came to her...

The day had finally arrived. After months of preparation and weeks of anticipation, the party was ready to rock and roll. After cars were valeted, guests walked into the Westin Grand Bohemian hotel, where they were immediately led to the grand ballroom that the party was being held at.

The room was setup with 20 round tables for eight, totaling in 160 seats, in a U formation around the large dance floor. At the head of the room, a large dinner table for 22 was set and a little behind that, a projector could be seen hanging. The room was decorated tastefully with black, white, silver, and pink being the obvious color scheme of the night. A candle sat on each table, and when dinner began, the servers would let each candle to create an ambiance. A program was also placed at each seat.

Schedule of Events

Guests were checked off at the door (for rsvp purposes) and then led to their assigned tables. (Feel free to put your characters at any table, but rememeber that members of the court will not be able to sit with you, even if he/she is your date). A few tables near the front were reserved for particular guests and their dates. (Family, the courts family member, and Emma's closer friends and teachers. (Kristen, Bonnie, Evanna, and all of her present dance teachers and soccer coaches, nanny and her former private tutor). Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres came and went and the atmosphere was fun and filled with excitement and buzz. The place looked grand and everyone was dressed to impress.

At 7:30pm prompt, the lights were dimmed a bit and the place absolutely glowed with the massive crystal chandelier and candles lit all around. Soft classical music could be heard in the background as the hired dj introduced Emma's parents and the court.

(Quick who's who for the NPC on the court: Irial Branson, British, childhood friend of Emma, youngest daughter of Sir Richard Branson- owner and maker of all things Virgin; Amy Wertheimer, family started and owns the House of Chanel amongst other brand names, French/Jewish, childhood family friend of Emma; Blake Whitney, American, of the Vanderbilt/Whitney family who practically owns all things New York; Minka Bloomberg, American, of the Bloomberg finance bigwigs, father is the current mayor of NYC; Robert Bewkes, American, family owns HBO and other cable monopolies; Chace Warner, American, of the Warner Bros' Inc.)

As each couple (as listed) were presented, the walked arm in arm down the center and then went to their designated spot on the dance floor. They were dressed as such court and all looked stunning. Finally Emma and Chace walked out together, arm in arm, smiling for the world to see. She was glowing and smiling a little shyly at the attention that was placed on her. She walked around the room and couldn't help but to laugh a little at some of the calls her school friends were making. She and Chace finally settled in the middle, and the waltz began.

The Waltz



After the waltz, the court split off to stand along side the floor, as a chair was brought out. Emma was led by Chace to the chair and she sat down and smiled as Chace leaned forward to kiss her cheek and step back to stand with the rest of the court. Then Emma's grandfathers came out together, both holding small pillows, glass slippers on one and a platinum and diamon encrusted tiara on the other. Both men took a moment to speak quietly to her before kissing each cheek, causing Emma to tear up and so began the first emotional segment. Then her parents walked up together, her mother handing her a tissue causing everyone to laugh lightly. Her father then bent forward to kiss her forehead before kneeling on one knee and calling the grandfather slipper over. Emma lifted her leg up to her father's hands and watched as he had to remove her ever present sneakers and replace them with the glass slippers. Once that was done, her mother came over and kissed her on the cheeks again before taking the tiara and placing it on Emma's head, making sure it remained fixed. Emma teared up through the entire thing and was happy she had decided to go with the waterproof makeup. Then all of them stood and took a few pictures before the dinner began.

Post dinner, a slideshow began as the palette cleansers and drinks came out flowing.



Emma and the ladies of the court exited scene as they went to change into their party dresses. Emma was especially excited about this becasue she didn't want to sit through the embarrasing pictures. About 10 minutes later everyone came back out to the party, and the court took seats at the round tables as Emma took center stage behind the table with a huge cake and 17 candles. She took the mic and spoke into it softly, blushing brilliantly through the whole thing. She was used to talking in front of people, but definitely not in front of so many people she knew on a personal level. She thanked everyone for coming and hoped they were enjoying themselves. She then began her candlelighting ceremony. (Will post ceremony seperately in thread for personal rping pleasure, and to save space! lol).

After the ceremony, tears and hugs, cake was served to all. During the cake eating, Emma and her father danced a sweet father/daughter waltz. They spent most of the time talking quietly, laughing often(ly), and tearing up occasionally. Once that was done, the rest of the court came out and hit the dance floor one last time to Samba/Salsa as a surprise dance. Her mother stood amused that Emma somehow managed to pull this off, but her jaw (and a few others, especially the O'Hare parents) practically dropped as Rupert appeared and led Emma to the center. Chace looked none too happy having to dance with Minka but Emma didn't care as the music began. She and Rupert worked really really hard on their part, having added extra practices for a month to get Rupert to be comfortable with it. THe group had fun and their hard work paid off.




After the fun salsa, the dj told everyone that it was time to party and opened up the dance floor to everyone.

(FINALLY DONE! So sorry about the length but there was a lot to fit in! I'll be commenting with the candle light part but everyone can comment and start a new thread for the party/ private scenes. Dance, have fun! Oh, and there's an open bar in a seperate room for the adults, so no need to worry about them. Feel free to do what you need to do! Oh yeah, I've asked a few of the players if they wouldn't mind playing certain NPC's for tonight, so if you see a random icon it's probably an NPC making a comment!)

After receiving permission to leave halfway through 4th period, Emma went outside to help prepare for the surprise pizza party she would behosting for Kristen. Kristen had 4th period lunch while the rest of her friends all shared 5th period, and usually, Kristen bitched about it and Emma ignored, but today, she would surprise her. She had already received permission from Kristen's 5th period teacher to allow her to miss that class and all things were in motion for a 2 lunch party.

With the help of some of her friends, she pulled together a bunch of picnic tables by the lake and began putting up pizza party signs all over the area. She draped the tables with birthday tablecloths and placed plates, napkins, plasticware, silly hats, whistles, cupcakes and a birthday crown in the middle. She then picked up the pizza that had been delivered and put them on another table, setting it up buffet style. There were 6 large NY style pizzas of all kinds (pepperoni, cheese, sausage, veggie, mixed, supreme) and orange soda, fruit punch, regular cola ready to be served. Ice bucket and cups were set and now she waited for everyone in 4th period lunch and whoever could skip 4th period to get decked out in hats and streamers. She had already asked Milo to distract Kristen throughout that lunch and to bring her over at exactly 11:50 am, and it was currently 11:45. They waited patiently for Kristen to come through...

(I have to go to work, so I'm probably not going to be around as much as I can. This thread can be open until tommorrow hopefully and I'll definitely be in here tonight. Anyone who is friends with Kristen was definitely invited by Emma, everyone else who happens to come by is welcome because there is a lot of food and cake. SO basically, it's an open thread and so jump in and wish Kristen a happy birthday!)

Katherine, dressed in a grey pencil skirt and white shirt, looking tan and well rested from the spring break trip to PR, sat at the edge of the stage, her legs crossed at the ankle with her notes resting on her lap. She waited for students to filter into the room, motioning for them to come up front before she began the meeting.

Again Ms Miranda had to call her students in the morning and tell them not to come in to check in until 9am. Plans for snorkeling had been cancelled because of the wave activity. While it was no longer at 30 feet, they were coming in at 10-15ft and definitely not safe for boating activity. The hotel arranged for her to speak obtain a van and driver to get them down to Los Baños de Coamo, hot springs located in the southern area of the island and which is associated with Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth legend. The drive itself would take an hour and a half, but she didn't mind it as long as they did not spend the day stuck in the Hotel. She again gave a call to her students, informing them to be dressed for swimming in hot springs when they went to check in and set about getting coffee from the continental breakfast the hotel had set up for them.

Ms. Miranda informed the rest of the teachers of the new plan, and then the first of her 'kids' showed up for check in.

Puerto Rico braces for 30-foot waves
Note:  These waves affect the North of Puerto Rico, which means no students will be allowed on the beach at all.  Today they're spending most of the day in Arecibo, but not on the beach, so this should not directly affect them there.  However, the beaches are closed.

It seemed that a devine hand was on their Spring Break trip, because as Tsunami sized waves threatened the coast of Puerto Rico, she had been able to switch their plans at the last minute with their perspective tours.  Their day of snorkeling would have to wait until tomorrow - if the beach hadn't suffered too much.  Today the group was heading up to Arecibo.  Because she'd told all the kids to check in at 7am, she called each of their rooms just before that time and told them they had an extra hour.

Finally everything was set and she hoped would work out for the best.

Today was the trip to El Yunque, the National Rain Forest located at about a 45 minute drive south west of San Juan. This was a big tourist attraction and popular for camping. Ms Miranda reminded everyone to make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes as they would be climbing a bit and to bring a bathing suite so they could bathe in one of the natural pools.

She was out in the lobby at 8:00 am, bouncing with excitement, as she checked in her students.

There were few things Ms. Miranda enjoyed more than a day at the beach. One of them was a day at the Museum. She firmly believed that when one went to the museum one should be dressed respectfully and as part of the travel package for all Trip attendees, she had added a warning that everyone was expected to be well dressed. Anyone not meeting the criteria would be forced to go back up and change before allowed on the van.

She met them all in the hotel lobby to sign them in before breakfast, a big excited smile upon her face.

Ms Miranda took her usual spot with the rest of the teachers that morning to check everyone in. Today was Beach Day and she couldn't be happier. One of the things she'd looked forward to the most had been going out and tanning on the island's crystalline beaches. Seeing as it was St Patrick's Day - or El Dia de San Patricio, as it was known in Puerto Rico, she made sure to wear a green beach dress over her one piece. Today would be fun for everyone.

At 4:15am all the teachers that would be chaperoning the trip (Ms. Miranda, Ms. Darling, Ms. Katherine, Mr. Percy, & Mr. Seaver) were standing next to the vans, waiting for students to trickle in.  As they arrived, Mr. Percy and Mr. Seaver helped load their luggage and Ms. Miranda and Ms. Darling checked their names by their roll sheet.  By 4:45am the vans were loaded and the students were on their way to the Orlando International Airport.  Once there, they all boarded JetBlue and spread through out the cabin.  Some had the fortune of being together while others were seated in random locations.  After they had taken off and had leveled off, a flight attendant went over the safety procedures and breakfast was brought out (choice turkey or tofu sandwiches, yogurt, fruit) and the passengers were left to talk, sleep, watch the PTV screens on the back of the seat in front of them, etc.

The flight landed at the San Juan – Luis Muñoz-Marin Airport at 9:45am, and after they'd all gathered their belongings, the group made their way to a courtesy van, which took them to their first stop....

    Drew walked into his room and practically slammed the door. He didn't really want to admit to himself what he was upset about. He pulled a glass off of his mini-fridge and quickly filled it with a few cubes of ice and some soda. After a few minutes of finding where he had left it, he quickly filled a small shot glass with some tequila and took four shots in succession, gritting his teeth and grimacing a little after the last one, taking a swig of his soda after to wash it down. His thoughts were a mess.. he needed music.
    He marched himself over to his computer and put it on random. He glanced at his phone... no messages or texts. A loud sigh escaped his lips as he began to feel the effects of the tequila rapidly increasing.  I want to stay in control... I know I shouldn't let things like this get to me.  Beyond his better judgment, he lined up another shot before quickly packing a bowl and taking a large hit.  It's not like I do this all the time... damn it.  He couldn't get the stupid argument out of his head, or the heavy feeling in the pit of his stomach that ensued when he felt his confidence falter.  Was he really a bad captain?  Was Dan right about Bonnie?  Was he being taken advantage of in the relationship?  He had really only done anything with one other person, and when he remembered who it was his heart panged with an odd sensation of guilt and longing.  Similar and synonymous thoughts floated through his head in rapid succession and his did his best to drown them out, tilting his head back to down the shot. 
    Drew reached forward and turned up the music slightly, and a picture on his desk of he, Ryan, Hayden and Bonnie stared back at him.  They all looked happy.  Really happy.  His thoughts became fuzzy and he grabbed the bottle of tequila, walking over to his bed and flopping down onto it with a grunt.  Usually I'm so good at letting stuff go, not getting bent out of shape about stupid school drama.  I don't get why some of these people here act so hateful sometimes...it can't be something I'm doing, can it?  At least not all me.  I'm a good person with a good heart... I'm optimistic and I make friends easily...
    His internal struggle continued for a few more uninterrupted moments before he reached over to check his phone again, he thought he heard it vibrate.

What:SGA Presents AA's Date Night Auction
When:Friday, February 29th at 7 PM
Where:The Auditorium located in the Performing Arts Center

After a lot of pleading for the event with the dean and a fair amount of planning, it was finally time for AA's first and hopefully not the last date night auction. Dani with a mic and index cards in hand, took to the stage promptly at 7, to get things started and get everyone out before the party later that night. Once she had gotten the attention of the crowd, Dani began.

"I just want to start off by thanking you all for coming out here tonight and give a huge thanks to the boys for volunteering. Before we begin, let me just briefly explain how it will work. We have 9 fine dates up on the auction block tonight. I will call them up to the stage one by one, at which time bidding will begin. There is a cap on the bids. There is an amount by the Dean that I have been told will be the limit for the night and the first bid to match that amount or surpass it will automatically be the winning bid and then we'll move on. Once you've won the auction, you will collect your date and head over to Mr. Percy, SGA's very own faculty adviser, and hand him your generous donation. And just to remind you, all proceeds will go towards SGA, who is responsible for putting together many of AA's great dances, trips, etc. And again, the motto for the night is that it's what you got, on the spot. Meaning that we will only be accepting cash. Sorry. The dates again are all up to you and I think that's about it. Let's get things started!"

[Ok, so here's how it's gonna work. I'm gonna post 9 comments here, one for each guy. Feel free to reply and then comment back and forth with one another with your bids, like would be the case with any auction. We'll try and see how long we can keep this thread going for. If someone hits the max bid I was given by the mods, I'll jump to end that particular auction. Christina's Birthday Speakeasy

For someone only turning twenty years old, the spread was lavish and glamorous. The bouncer at the top of the stairs of The Blue Note made sure to check names on the list of invited guests and would let back the velvet rope to let those pass. All those who were not special guests for the evening were left wondering why the neon lights of The Blue Note were lit on it's usual off night.

Geri decorated the VIP Lounge in emerald greens and ruby reds, soft lights, and many photos and artifacts from the prohibition era that made speakeasies famous. Everyone was dressed to impress. Guests were given gift bags with party favors in them; Cuban cigars, disposable cameras, cigarette holders, feathered hats, and other goodies. There were two bartenders on hand mixing drinks for the party goers and on a projection screen there were videos of some of Christina's greatest performances at The Blue Note.

DJ Priemier had Christina's favorites mixing and the party was underway...
