They only want the best of the best, which is why you, bruised and aching down to the bones after your most recent engagement in the Kwoon, are deemed second cut material. You and the other trainees are disseminated across the expanse of the Pacific, your orders leading you to the various Shatterdomes for your 12 week probationary period. You will sweat and you will bleed; and at the end, you may be one of the few left deemed suitable for appointment to Ranger status.
