“A bit?” Caroline inquired, wondering why the younger girl had trailed off.
Caroline shrugged. “I don’t think that if the comparison is made earnestly that it is an insult,” she replied in a mildly haughty tone. “Unless you were being sarcastic?” she accused lightly.
Reaching for the offered book, Caroline took it graciously and handed Queenie the one she had brought with her in case she wanted to thumb through it.
Flipping through the pages, it didn’t take her long to realize that the hexes and curses within would never be taught at Hogwarts. In fact, they likely wouldn’t be tolerated at Hogwarts in any way.
“Where did you get this?” she asked softly, looking around to make sure no one was watching them. Though, the Slytherin Dungeon was the safest place in the school to have such a thing without getting tattled on.
