“Princess?” Caroline repeated with a hint of breathy exasperation. She didn’t know Queenie well, being that she was a year younger. She noticed the younger Slytherin’s gaze lingering on her badge. Had she given the girl detention or something and that’s why she was being like that.
“I was coming to sit in this chair, I did not mean to hover,” Caroline explained nicely. Not one to jump into such things, she was hesitant to get into the posturing that so many Slytherins indulged in. "Glory wasn't really part of the equation," she added with a hint of a smirk, unable to resist a tiny comment back.

“What are you reading?” she inquired. Holding up her own book, she hoped to demonstrate she wasn’t looking for a confrontation.
