She laughed, the smile taking over her face. Evangeline hadn't quite realized how that sounded. She shook her head, the smile lingering, "Definitely not for that! Actually, I come to write letters usually. I hate writing in the common room. Someone snatched my letter once and read it aloud. It was to my mother. Not about anything personal, but it was quite rude."
"And sometimes I'll come to think too," she added. "It's quieter, you know?"
"Too lightly?" Evangeline frowned, gripping her wand suddenly tighter. It felt wrong to do so. She made a face, "I don't like how that feels."
"Okay, firmly," she repeated, bracing herself. She lifted her wand and repeated the incantation, the wand shimmered and faded for a moment before appearing again.
