Although seeing a familiar face was a relief to Rei, and especially that it was Kira's, seeing her address the unknown man led to even greater levels of confusion for him. "I'm fine... I guess," he replied to her-- not really sure where he fell on the 'fine' meter when he had no idea what was transpiring here-- before he smiled as well when she expressed her gratitude at him being here. Even hearing little things like that from Kira could earn that reaction from him, so much smaller than what he'd consider 'progress' with any other girl, but with her it was--
And then his thoughts were drawn from that again, and he looked back towards Terra, who-- Vector?-- had now moved to be at the side of. "I dunno what her deal is. I found her about half an hour ago, and she hasn't said a word to me. She moved when I asked her to, but that's it." This all seemed to be leading to some kind of conclusion, seeing the way that other man, equally unusual character that he was, clearly knew her. He'd first been addressed by him in English, and Kira had used English with him, so Rei assumed that was all he knew. "Vector, yeah?" His tone was even enough, having no initial problem with the man, so long as he didn't order him like that again.
Setzer had already been somewhat confused by the last thing Kira had said to him, but hearing this boy speak, it only took him a few more seconds to realize what the miscommunication was. "...Setzer," he corrected. "I'm from Vector." Neither of them had been able to realize that on their own?
"You're friends with that...girl..." Rei started to question, before he noticed what else was off with Setzer's appearance. There was blood. "Kira, did he do anything to you?" Rei asked, mildly alarmed now, at what the explanation for just that could be.
And this was all as equally as confusing on Setzer's side; 'friends'? He'd never had an exchange like this before, and it seemed impossible the two could truly be so clueless. Not to mention he didn't feel entirely comfortable, unable to understand what they were saying. He didn't move to leave yet though, since the boy could speak the language he understood, and maybe he could give him some actual answers about what was going on here.
