InsaneJournal Announcements

If you haven't heard the news, InsaneJournal is getting a new home. Now this doens't mean anything is going to change, other than the reliablity of the site.

We have made the decision to bring the hosting of the site back in house. For the past 7 years we've been relying on other companys to maintain our servers while we maintian the software. We have gotten to the point where we have outgrown this model. We have raised the funding to purchase servers to run the site on and are going to be moving in sometime next week.

This will mean that the site is going to be down while we get moved in. We do understand what a hassle this is and hope to make it as painless as possible. We are anticipating that the site could be down for as much as 24 hours.

Please subscribe to our feed on twitter (@insanejournal) or facebook (http://www.facebook.com/insanejournal) and we will keep everyone updated on the status of the move while we are down. I will post a notice at least 24 hours before we bring the site down when we know the exact time that we will be moving.
