Account codes are now required on InsaneJournal. They can be given as gifts from existing accounts (http://www.insanejournal.com/invite/) or you can purchase one by buying a paid account for an email address (which will allow you to create an account AND become a paid member).

If you want to generate new account codes, visit http://www.insanejournal.com/invite/ . Please report any bugs with the invite code system ASAP and we will resolve them asap.

    Try closing all browser windows and reloading the site. See if this makes any difference.

      That didn't. I tried a couple of things and I wound up having to register with a completely different email than my gmail account. Do you think it's been accidentally blacklisted?

        There is a different error for blacklisted email addresses. I am also wondering if your browser is using autofill on a hidden element that is causing an issue. By using a different email, you are most likely avoiding that autofill.

          The only other thought I had is since I was using one of my own codes, it was recognizing my email address as the one that generated the code. Either way, problem solved. Thanks for the help, Squeaky.
