  • If nothing else, I feel like there should be a group of spam-thwackers monitoring the newest-created journals. I'm an admin at a forum that gets a lot of spam, and at least once a day I look at the newest accounts and prune out the obvious spambots.
    • We are fully aware of the massive spam problem. Currently we have no way to combat it. However we are working to replace the current captcha system with a more robust one that will not be so easy for the bots to circumvent.
      • That's good to hear. I hope it works out.

One thing I've noticed is there doesn't seem to be a way to report spambots to you guys. On LJ, there's a "report a bot" page, but IJ doesn't seem to have anything like that. Also, do you have an anti-spam team people can volunteer for?
        • The problem is that bots can register so easily that you'd be deleting 10 accounts while 20 more were created
