Permanently Insane Account Sale

InsaneJournal would like to announce a week long Permanently Insane account sale starting immediately. The accounts will be on sale for $40 (less than the cost of just 2 years of paid time). You can get yours at http://www.insanejournal.com/pay/. Please note that we have decided to start accepting eChecks via PayPal again if that is your preferred payment method.

We are also putting Insane Userpics on sale for $120. That is 5,000 userpics for the lifetime of your account. (Note: you must already have a permanently insane account to be able to add Inasne Userpics to your account).

The reason we are doing this sale is to bolster our reserves to pay for some upcoming expenses on the site. So you can use this as a rare chance to get Permanently Insane status while helping the site.

If you already have paid time remaining on your account and you upgrade, simply open a support request and we will gladly transfer the remainder of your paid time to another account of your choosing. This can even be done anonymously if you want to use it as an anonymous gift.

Also please keep in mind that we are still working to stabilize the service here as well as add improvements for the future. Look behind the cut for a list of known issues that we are currently working on.


Bugs Not Yet Fixed:
* Comments disappearing.
* directory.bml hangs searching
* Edit userpics page loading slowly for users with lots of userpics (Firefox is still slow but won't timeout and give an error as a temporary workaround)
* Adding friends via the admin console causes custom groups to get emptied
* Joining a closed membership asylum gives an error
* Timezones on update page not reflecting change in DST in United Stats
* align= and border= options in image tags being striped by the HTML cleaner
* lynx sitescheme warning
* blank preview page
* Sometimes not able to change custom colors

  The ability to preview entries before posting has been gone for some time now. :(

    Well, that blows. Myself and a friend have been resorting to private-ing particulary html-smothered entries to check for errors. Rich Text, come back, please! Then preview.
    
    Hopefully this is the only 'error' D: it's happening at LJ, too, so what the bloody hell is happening? LJ had problems with their Rich Text, but IJ..?

      It certainly does. It's beyond frustrating that things like Rich Text and preview aren't working at the moment and I like to preview my entries before I submit them because I'm a major dork.
      
      If it's happening at LJ as well as IJ maybe it's something to do with the coding? *shrugs* I have no idea otherwise. The sooner it's all fixed, the better. I really like IJ and I'm sick of cross-posting to LJ.

        What is wrong with rich text? It is working for me when I attempt to make an entry.

          That's all I get. With every journal I log in as. (Thumb nailed as the screen shot itself is rather large.)

              Or I'll just have to live without Real Text, I guess! I am not willing to use another browser 'cause I love mine and the mobile page is a little too sparse for me.

        Yep. I just wonder why, if it's to do with something like how at LJ everyone was pointing out that Rich Text isn't working for them on certain browsers or it was eating posts, and it was kind of obvious that LJ would remove the glitchy tool suddnely, out of the blue (unless they mentioned that somewhere in small font, I only read News every few weeks =P )and it wasn't mentioned in a News update. I couldn't post an entry and edit it later for the annoying glitch of LJ reverting said entry back to prior-edited-entry :|
        
        Oh well. Shouldn't last too tong, being Rich Text-less. The preview tool is a great tool, saves embarassment of lolwhuthappened? HTML typos with huge bolded paragraphs..that's what Rich Text is for, damn it. Most of the time!
