The official new siteschemes poll

The new siteschemes are officially moving out of beta, and with it we are going to change the default look of the site to one of these great new themes. Please decide which theme you think should greet new users and visitors of the site and vote today. Voting will be open for 1 week.

I want to send out my gratitude to branchandroot and the entire ij_siteschemes volunteer crew! You guys have done an AMAZING job!!!

Also we have uploaded a new alternate sitescheme, it is a black and white theme (sans-tweak and tweak-says for those that don't like him). It is called Monodramatic, it, too, is available in dropdown and sidebar options.

  The very strongest suggestion I would make would be to make it very simple to select another color other than orange! Honestly, the most comments I hear from all over don't have any beef with the layout(s) here, but just wish there wasn't so much Orange!
  
  Making the default layout changable to varied shades of another color or colors (including a cool-shade color, such as blue, green, purple, whatever) instead of orange or other bright/yellow hues would make a LOT Of people happy!

    I second this. I wish there was a default page option that wasn't orange, yellow, brown or otherwise in colors swiped from my parents' old '70s shag carpet.

      I've heard from several friends who actually stay at LJ (with all the attendant problems) due to the "Orange!"
      
      They set up lovely personal pages, but the default page color...? Sigh.

    Agreed! Different colors would certainly help. Like greatestjournal had a few color schemes you could pick from. The orange is just too bright, but the scheme as a whole is really fantastic.

    THIS. :D Why does it all have to be so bright? My iMac's screen is bright enough, lol. I'd love to be able to pick a different color skin if I want to. :D

      These siteschemes are going to be very compatible with some of the firefox plugins that allow you to change the stylesheet properties (the name of the plugins escape me right now) so you will be able to play with the look of IJ all you want. I am sure if you ask around in here people will guide you to the right places.

    I have to agree with you. I don't mind any of the schemes but I'd like a color choice. Something besides orange, black or brown.
