It looks like we are once again taking in accounts for GreatestJournal. We are thrilled to have you here! We would like to point out that we do have the resources to take you in. And if the site continues to grow the way it has been then we will get even more resources as needed. We do have a plan in place to further expand the resources the site has. So you do not have to worry about us.

We do hope to win you over and have you host your journals, asylums (communities at other sites), roleplays, and fan fic here, we are also happy just to give you a place of refuge while GreatestJournal works out whatever issues they are having, and totally understand if you go back. We are really just happy to have all of our users here, temporary or permanent!

Also, I know there are a lot of people who are unhappy with the site design here on InsaneJournal. We are currently working on a new easier to use (and easier on the eyes) design that we hope to implement soon. Obviously we will get as much feedback as possible. In the meantime we have a number of older site layouts that you can use. To change to one of them go to http://www.insanejournal.com/manage/siteopts.bml
  • Im not too fond of their design, it feels so 1997 to me. But I am going to simplify things quite a bit here.
    • sounds good. might i hope for something with a white background and hit counter CSS editing for userinfos? that would be lovely.
    • Hmm. I would really, really like to see something more like GJ's layout, but my reasoning isn't really about the way it looked. Mine's about the way it functioned.

With the JavaScript nav bar as it is now, I can't right-click to open things in a new tab (I use Firefox). I have to open the new tab, go to the IJ homepage, and then nav to whatever bit it was I wanted to get to. In addition, the JavaScript nav doesn't work for Sidekick users.

Even if the colours changed (I was never all that fond of the brick red, but black and fuschia or whatever else the other options were was far worse), having at least one very clean, boring, business-colours-only version that used HTML and CSS instead of JavaScript would be really exceptionally wonderful.

Hopefully this doesn't come off as overly demanding, since it is all about functionality. :/
      • We are looking into gettng a few different designs done. Clean lines and colors and no more java are just a few of the ideas that have been tossed like a huge watermelon at my head thrown out there for us to consider.

        • Sorry about the splat.
          • As long as it gets cleaned up and we dont have any trips to the ER, its all fine and dandy.
            • Can I stress again just how much I'm enjoying you guys? ;)
              • No need to stress anything. stress isnt good. leads to all kinds of things. Like fanatic blo....

                No, wait.

We are all a bit mad, here.
Sorta like the Hatter and the Hare.
