I'm really not intending to talk down to you? If I've come across that way, I apologize. I used the films myself when I was studying Shakespeare back during my English A Levels. They genuinely do help. It's easy to get bogged down by all the flowery language and miss what's literally happening.
I called the teleporter horrifying because I have yet to try it and the idea of doing so is horrifying to me. I'm worried I'll wind up leaving a leg behind or mixing my DNA with that of a praying mantis by mistake. I dread to discover what's around here that's scarier than that.
As for sparknotes, no, that just means you've likely put in more legitimate work in school than most of the people I knew back in the day. It's a website that breaks down literature for you. Talks about the themes and the characters, important quotations. That sort of thing. Can be useful as long as you don't use it as a replacement for legitimately reading. I should know, I tried it once, and I had the piss poor grades on that paper to show for it.
