When I was a lad, first learning how to shoot, and not doing so well at it, my grandfather told me that failing means you're trying, playing the game. When I see others who're failing at a goal they've set themselves, and failing pretty spectacularly at that, but know they're making the effort, it gets a bit painful to watch, especially when you could well step in, and KNOW what you would do, put in their place.
When do you step in to offer them the help, and how, without looking like a total arse throughout the process? When does it become your duty to provide that help and not something you can ignore?
