As part of the effort to recruit Aedan being stepped up rapidly, before he officially SHOULD be signing any contracts Shaun’s remotely okay with, or taking vows he can’t go back on right away, and making sure that things aren’t liable to blow up in everyone’s face if they follow through with this approach, a casual meeting of sorts has been arranged for in one of the parks close to their hotel.
A few of his assassins have come along for the heck of it, largely because the members of the group who haven’t gone completely mad deserve a break from SOME of the chaos, so Shaun, Jacob, and Tadgh are hanging around under a tree, along with a few people who’ve invited themselves along. So far, they’ve got some lights up and citronella candles, even if it’s not quite dark and Shaun’s scowling by lantern light at grading he has yet to do. At least that side of things should provide some distraction soon. Sebastian mentioned he would try to get his brother coming back as well, much for the same reasons.
In the meantime, he’s reading out loud from an essay response on a test that’s frankly got him concerned. “I LOVE the bloody cult of the American Founding Fathers oh so very much.” he practically growls, setting down his pen and reaching for a Red Bull as he does that, pressing the can to his temple and muttering for a second. “The general consensus being of course that people can use them so they’re not thinking for their bloody selves. If some decomposing corpse came up with it, it’s good for everyone. ‘...Remind me I’m not teaching this again.” He doesn’t add the other reason he’s not doing it, right there, but there are reminders rife through it and...ugh.
“I’ve been in the business way too long.”
