"Aye, exactly that." Meghan nods. "Without it, there's not much chance at surviving anything. Aedan and I've talked about that. It's difficult to wrap my head around it, who you are, if not, well, someone with a social position, or a job for them to ken you as, or something that you've got to offer." She shrugs. "How'd you FIND that sort of thing when you're not anything's the question, I suppose. It's as though..." Meghan frowns a little, not sure how to put this.
"I've been something twice, both times it mattered, though the second one...I earned that. I'm not too sure how it shakes out when I've lost them both and there's not much room for something here. I don't know that I've any skills that translate, or how to go about getting them just now. "
She smiles a little. "It'll be a good thing when I'm allowed to take the course you mentioned, to be able to help at the hospital. I don't like being...idle." She settles on the word, smiling a little. It wasn't the word but, he's trying, both of them are, so she'll make an effort too.
"I don't suppose it's ever felt that way before, not to the rest of the world, but...different world, right? And I would like that."
