"C'mon. It'll be like old times." Roxas urged, pulling on Axel's arm. Axel blinked and smiled softly.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I even have some treats in mind." the blond smiled back. On the way to the clock tower, Roxas picked up some sea salt ice cream and handed Axel one. The redhead took the frozen sweet and gave it a once over.
"We used to eat bean buns, though." he said in an amused tone. Roxas laughed.
"Fine, not exactly like old times, but close enough to be nostalgic, okay?"
"Okay." Axel said. He was just thrilled the boy even remotely remembered him. He'd have to thank Namine later for her 'meddling.' At the top of the clock tower, Roxas grinned and turned to Axel.
"Isn't the view great?" he asked, motioning for the older boy to sit on the ledge with him. Axel agreed, sitting down and unwrapping his ice cream bar. He took a few tentative licks of the strange blue pop, propping his elbow on an upraised knee. The seemingly eternal sunset of Twilight Town was breathtaking and he was just happy to be sharing it with Roxas. He thought he'd never enjoy these little moments again.
For the first time, he was glad he had been wrong.
"It's nice to have you here next to me." Roxas said, reminiscing while he stared at his popsicle. Axel chuckled.
