Fabian never could quite help feeling especially smug when it came to doing anything better than the Carrows (which in his opinion, was everything). A self-satisfied smirk pulled at his lips when his hex hit Amycus. Bastard. That ought to show him just who the hell he was dealing with. He put up a tight shield charm to protect himself from the rather haphazard way hexes were flying out of the other man's wand. Not that he expected any of those to actually hit him.
Until one of them actually did, anyway. His shield charm protected him from harm, but the magic shattered when the curse rebounded off of him and it left him completely unprotected when Alecto's fire came his way. It scorched his wand arm, a pain that was all too familiar to Fabian. He couldn't believe he hadn't protected himself fast enough. "Fuck, aguamenti," he swore, hissing in pain as he put the bit of his shirt that had caught on fire. But now they knew where he was and he put another shield charm up as quick as he could.
"Furnunculus!" he half-growled, this time aiming for the sister. That bitch burned him.
