Remus cried out as Bellatrix's nails dug into his wounds, the sharp pain making him squirm against the silver chair. He shook his head, trying to shake her words right out of his head. It wasn't going to work. Remus could see how much Sirius was enjoying this but he didn't believe for a second that it wasn't a part of the spell. Maybe that was naive of him, but he simply couldn't believe it.
"No," he protested stubbornly, his words alternating with gasps or cries of pain. He knew what she was trying to do and he refused to allow it. "You're not going to change the way I feel about him. I love him."
He cried out again, louder as her nails twisted inside his wound, his back arching as pain shot right through him.
