"It is a truly beautiful sight, is it not?" she purred in Sirius's ear as she gave another twist of his wrist against Remus's stomach. "There are few sights more exquisite than another man's suffering." But the canvas of Remus's chest was not enough and she released Sirius's hands, content with his progress in their lesson in knife wielding. He could continue to toy with his knives, and Bellatrix was keeping an eye on him to ensure that he did not go too far, but instead she moved to kneel in front of Remus, smiling up at him.
A flick of her wand vanished the tattered remains of Remus's shirt and then his trousers as well, leaving him in nothing but his pants. It was in part simply to leave him feeling vulnerable but mostly just to leave him exposed for her next torment. Thin silver chains burst from her wand, wrapping around his now bare legs and lashing him to the chair. "When you have found your victim's weakness, it is yours to exploit," she explained, tapping her wand to Remus's chair and coating the wood with a thin layer of silver so that he would have no choice but to be pressed into the very source of his torment. Her hands moved down Remus's legs, her nails dragging across his skin and then she stood, training her wand on him. Another curse, this time to make his body literally burn from the inside out. It would, at first, simply make him feel uncomfortably warm, then slowly progressing to greater and greater agony. She kept a close eye on him to keep from frying his internal organs, but was still continuing her lesson. "Too much of any one torment may leave the victim immune," she explained. "But adding more, different forms of pain on top will keep him suffering. Watch as he squirms against the silver chair, unable to escape."
