How was she feeling? Narcissa was feeling divine. She was glad their first child would be a boy. Not that she wouldn't have been overjoyed at having a girl, but having an heir first was what Narcissa had always wanted. Besides, all signs seemed to point to a healthy baby boy, and with Lucius' mother's history made healthy a miracle, and her own mother's history made boy a rarity. Narcissa was happy as she could be, really.
She smiled blissfully up at Lucius and said, "I'm wonderful. I feel fine, and happy, and only a slightly fat."
As she rubbed her belly thoughtfully, the smile faded slowly from Narcissa's face. "What should we name him, Luc?"
A name was so important. It had to evoke the right thoughts, the right connections. It had to respect family traditions while leaving room for the the development of a personal identity. It had to be distinguished and respectable, but still speakable. Likeable. Lovable. It had to be a lot of things, and while Narcissa knew some things that it could not be, she had yet to come up with any perfect name.
