James laughed a bit as Remus complimented the name, and strangely, he felt a bit emotional. Everything was just so... fucked. Well, almost everything. They were all still alive, and he had a son.
"Yeah, you did. Thanks," James said thickly, then cleared his throat as he rubbed at his eyes awkwardly with one hand. He thought new dads were probably allowed to cry over their babies, but not when said baby wasn't even in the room, and he was only talking about him.
Momentary watery eyes passed, James gave Remus a sheepish smile and said, "Sorry 'bout that. Look, I'll try to bring him by sometime, yeah? He's in high demand, but I think I can bump you to the top of the list. It's hard for me to carry him, but Lily can come too. I know she'll want to see you, if she hasn't yet."
