Your 10pm News Recap with Doris Crockford |
Investigation on last night’s attack on Hogsmeade is ongoing at full speed. Cleanup of the destroyed wizarding village is in progress, Aurors inspecting every inch of the rubble and mounting evidence against the Death Eaters. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement expects to put out warrants of arrest by the end of the week according to their spokesperson. While evidence is gathered against the terrorists, no new information has been brought forward about the still unidentified civilian heroes. They are invited to come forward, Minister Lestrange offering to reward each of them with the Order of Merlin, second class, for services to our country. St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies has confirmed that a number of 50 persons, injured in the attack on Hogsmeade, are in their care. Their injuries range from minor to critical, but no additional details were given. St Mungo’s also confirmed that the death toll has reached 103 this morning when a patient died during treatment. Names of the victims will not be released until every family has been contacted. The hospital is also collaborating with the Ministry to offer counselling services to the victims’ families. Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry has been assaulted by owls from nervous parents, worried for the safety and well-being of their children attending the school and making sure it wasn’t a Hogsmeade weekend. Exams are currently under way at the magical school and therefore every student was safely in the castle when the attack took place. The Headmaster Albus Dumbledore could not be reached for comment. |
