Edgar didn't get a chance to reply to Fabian's question regarding the Carrow twins; he was interrupted by Lily and James' sudden appearance, and James' typical abuse of tangents. "Everything's fine, Lily," Edgar reassured her before saying, "You know, James, I never feel the need to ask you your security question because it seems impossible to me that any death eater could have the patience to try and impersonate you. You're too much work."
Edgar lifted the wards so the Potters could come onto the property, joining him, Alice and Fabian. "I don't think we can expect anyone else. Bad time of day," Edgar reiterated. "I hope I didn't interrupt anyone at work, or make a spectacle. At least it'll only come across as a very strange invitation to tea."
Edgar paused, feeling a shiver up his spine as the ward broke near the house and then sealed again. He'd shown Calypso how to let herself in and out of the seven layer dinner of wards he had in place (after her insistence), because she didn't want to feel like a prisoner in her own home. "Calypso's back," he told them. "We should head up to the house. Fabian's stomach is about to eat him from the inside out, James looks like a swotty snowman, and apparently Lily may need some smelling salts else she might swoon. Due to, you know, charisma overload and whatnot."
