Alice nodded in approval. There ought to be more of them on the way, despite the odd time of day. Not quite everyone in the Order had jobs outside the group. James at least should have been there, if Lily wasn't well enough to come. But waiting too long would be a waste of their time.
"That's what mothers are for, isn't it?" Alice remarked. Her own mother was ecstatic, what with Ernest's wife pregnant as well. She'd have two grandchildren soon enough. And Augusta even seemed delighted about being a grandmother.
She looked curiously at Fabian. Alice knew of the Carrows, certainly. She had rather dismissed what little she read when they started taunting Fabian in the journals the other day. Both sets of twins had been in the same year, and in competitive houses. She assumed whatever insults passed between them were just remnants from their school days.
"Lily's got a lot of fire in her," she stated. Honestly, if she'd grown up as a muggleborn in this time, she'd probably have a lot more attitude than she did. Alice didn't pick fights. She was much better at soothing the fire. "Besides, you know James won't let anything happen to her."
