Fabian and checked his watch to see just how far away five o'clock was. Really, he felt bloody starving. He wished he'd brought something to snack on until there was actual food. That's what he got, actually being prompt. It just meant he was waiting around for everyone else. And he was supposedly the lazy one.
There was little to be said about the kids. Fabian liked children in small doses. Like sitting for his nephews - he could handle that. He liked that on occasion. In fact, Fabian was sort of surprisingly good with children. It was almost a shame he didn't really want any of his own. Not soon, least ways. And anyway, he thought it was sort of immeasurably stupid to try to raise kids when there were mad dark wizards trying to take over the country. Just sort of seemed like a bad idea, even if he'd decided he was ready. Which he wasn't. And didn't want to be.
"Have either of you heard much from or about the Carrows lately?" he asked abruptly. "One of them was making threats at Lily the other day. Which I guess isn't really strange, since they're twats and she's muggleborn. Dunno if she really ought to be encouraging them, though. I don't think they're that dangerous or even much more than talk, but you know, she's sort of obviously pregnant and shit so I'd really rather not risk it."
