"Sounds like insanity to me," Edgar said absently to Fabian, trailing off as Alice appeared. "Alice! What was the name of the stuff animal you had as a child?"
Edgar was surprised at the difference between Lily and Alice when they were both at roughly the same point in their pregnancies. Lily was approaching (though he'd never tell her so to her face) whale proportions, while Alice wasn't even showing. If he hadn't been told, Edgar would've never known she was even pregnant. Both slight women, both six months along, both completely different sizes. Calypso had been like Lily for both pregnancies; big and annoyed about it. He supposed that any number of factors might contribute, since every woman was different and all that.
