"So we're just passing the buck off to Moody?" James asked, frowning a little. Sometimes he felt so ineffectual. He wanted to actually do something, but in this case, he wasn't really in a position to be effective. "What about outside of the Ministry? Lily has a point with the patrol idea. I think it'd be worth it to try and watch Wilde's home, at least. I'm sure he has security, but who he lets through it might be a good indication of what exactly he's up to. If he is up to anything. Bagnold, though, is pretty firmly on our side. Dumbledore trusts her, and unless she starts acting suspicious, I don't think it'd be worth it to risk watching her as well. She's probably got more security than Wilde, with how things are at the moment."
James thought that was a sound idea. Of course, a lot of the time, he tended to get a little enthusiastic, maybe jump the gun a little, especially when he got worked up. At least without Sirius here, he could speak rationally without getting overly excited. Sirius and he tended to rile each other up and then things could get a little... unnecessarily out of hand. Not that he preferred not to have Sirius around by any means. James came up with the best ideas when he and Sirius pushed each other.
"As much as we can't take chances, there are some we ought to," James said. "If we don't, then who will?"
