As odd as it was to see Narcissa with such a large stomach, Lucius couldn't help but to think that she looked even more beautiful with pregnancy. Never before had he understood what people meant when they said that pregnant women glowed. Looking at her now, he couldn't help but to feel the love swell up within him. Even in a long nightgown she was gorgeous. "There is no doubt he will be beautiful." Lucius said, leaning his chin against the top of her head as it rested on his shoulder. "I wish him to have your eyes." he said, stroking his hand over her stomach.
His own eyes slipped closed in an effort to relax. He was far too wound up to fall asleep now, but he could at least try to lose some of the tension in his muscles. "And I love you," He replied. "But do not thank me, Cissa. As if I could sit at work knowing that you are in pain." He found it was getting easier to express his feelings for her. He just wasn't the type to go on and on about how much he loved her, but he liked to think that he made it clear that he would do anything and everything for her. When he was with her, he could drop his public persona and just be Luc.
"I could not do this without you, either. Now, stop thanking me." He smiled at her, kissing her again, holding her cheek gently, brushing his thumb over soft skin. There was no way he could do this without her. He had no idea how to raise a son. He couldn't stomach the thought of something happening to her and him being alone. He could not do it.
"Draco Scorpius Malfoy." He said softly, hand finding its way back to her stomach. "He'll be head boy, I bet. The pride of Slytherin." He smiled up at Narcissa cheekily. "He'll have to beat the girls off with a beater's bat to get a moment of peace."
