Lucius frowned. "Do not apologise, Narcissa." he said softly. She did not need to apologize for making him worry, especially when he was worrying nearly all the time now, especially as the due date got closer and closer. He leaned down, pressing a soft chaste kiss to her forehead. "I am your husband, who else are you supposed to worry." he offered her a smile, not completely devoid of worry, but he tried.
He visibly relaxed as he felt Draco move. He couldn't stop the soft smile at the movement of his son. It might be silly, especially for a man like Lucius, but sometimes he thought that their son could recognize his touch, his voice and that he would move just for him. He kept his hand against Narcissa's skin, even as he moved to lie beside her, reading what she wanted from him without even realizing it. "I feel." he confirmed, thumb brushing over the taut skin of her belly.
He closed his eyes, focusing on the movement under his hand and Narcissa's word. "Yes," he said, not sure whether he was convincing her or himself. "Everyone's alright. It's all going to be fine." His voice was calm, soothing. "I promise. I won't let anything happen to the two of you. So you relax, love, alright?" He moved closer to her, kissing her softly.
"You know, I never thought I could be so attached to someone I've never even seen before." It was true, Draco and Narcissa were his whole world now, and Draco was months away from being born. "I wonder what he will look like..."
