22 April 1980
Who: Albus Dumbledore & Remus Lupin
When: Tuesday afternoon at 2pm
Where: The Headmaster's office at Hogwarts
What: Albus has a private assignment for Remus
Rating: Doubtfully higher than PG-13
Status: In progress
Albus knew that he would be asking a lot of young Remus Lupin. He suspected that keeping the assignment from his friends would be as (if not more) difficult than the task of infiltrating werewolf packs and requesting them to align themselves with the Order before Voldemort had a chance to sway them otherwise. Remus was the logical choice, because he was the only 'dark creature' on their side. Beyond that, he had adjusted within the magical world--an adult werewolf who had prospered well despite his condition. He had friends and an education. Employment was lacking, but that could (and would) be rectified if Dumbledore had any say when these upcoming pieces of legislation came up to the plate. Knowing the typical outlook on Dark Creatures where most pureblood aristocracy was involved, Dumbledore strongly suspected that Lestrange would attempt to "put half-breeds in their place."
Albus sat in his office patiently. He had opened the floo grate to permit Remus, so he would not have to apparate outside the grounds and have Filch bring him up to the castle. A house elf had brought tea and sweet biscuits with butter, and Albus helped himself to one and poured himself to a cuppa as he waited.
