The Ministry issued warrants against five suspected terrorists today. Lily Potter, the Muggleborn widow of James Potter, killed by Death Eaters in the DMLE's holding cells last month, is among the surprising names on the list. Warrants are also issued against Sirius Black, disowned heir of the Black family, Marlene McKinnon, a twenty years old Healer-in-training, Caradoc Dearborn, bartender at the Leaky Cauldron, as well as Mundungus Fletcher, thirty years old, known from the authorities for petty thievery. The warrants were issued after all five suspects ignored a summon from the Ministry. Hundreds of witches and wizards answered the call of the Society for the Promotion of Muggleborn Welfare this morning and gathered in front of the Ministry to protest the new Marriage act. "This legislation is a gross infringement on human rights and is a giant step in the wrong direction. Before you know it, we'll be back in the dark ages. It has to be stopped," said Van Lewis, leader of the SPMW. "I don't know what exactly the marriage bill is planning to target, but I'd be willing to bet it isn't the purebloods who have to worry about the evaluations of their marriages." Investigation at the sight of a second attack from a group of dark creatures on a wizard family is progressing slowly. Xenophilius Lovegood, editor of The Quibbler, and his wife Eleanor were attacked on the night of the 14th at their home in Ottery St. Catchpole, the same village where the Weasleys were attacked almost exactly a month earlier, on July 12th. The population is scared and many villagers are considering moving. "We're not safe here anymore. It can't be a coincidence, two attacks in a month," said John Adams, a neighbour of the two families who has decided to sell his house. "We're doing everything we can, of course, and staff is working around the clock in light of these attacks," said Myron Zeller, the new Head Hitwizard. "Unfortunately the whole group lives outside of the law, which makes tracking them difficult. We have no known addresses and very few confirmed identities. We urge people to be careful, bring your wards up to date, and stay indoors after dark." Information about the Dark Army, as Mr Lovegood himself had dubbed this group of dark creatures, can be found at every owl post office. Any information about sightings of these dark creatures should be sent to the DMLE immediately. Aurors are still buzzing around the charred remnants of the house of Edgar Bones in Dover, Kent. The heir of the Bones family was at home with his wife, Calypso, and their two children when Death Eaters attacked them on Saturday. They all managed to escape while neighbours, seeing the Dark Mark floating, notified the Ministry. "It's a complex investigation and we have very little to go with, but I can assure you that we are as thorough as can be and will not leave any stone unturned," assured the Auror in charge of the case, Rosalind Rookwood. Anyone with information about this attack should contact Mrs Rookwood at the DMLE. Anonymity is guaranteed. |
