What: Cousinly bonding

Status: In progress
One hour in Diagon Alley and Bellatrix's patience had already worn beyond thin. The sheer number of people who had approached her to offer their congratulations on her husband's appointment was enough to drive her to the near-overwhelming urge to kill the next person who came within three feet of her before they even had the chance to open their mouth. On top of that annoyance was the simple hassle of being forced to run errands but between Rodolphus's inauguration and her sister's gala set for the next day, there was simply too much to be done to leave the responsibilities to others.
Dear Salazar, if she had any idea what being the Minister's wife was going to entail, she never would have suggested that Rodolphus put his name forward for the position.
After retrieving her dress robes from the tailor and a side trip to Borgin and Burkes to pick up a small gift for Rodolphus (she was not entirely helpless at this wife business, after all) she had draped herself into a chair at one of the outdoor cafés and was sipping at a cup of tea. Her eyes were almost, but not quite closed as she kept a careful watch through her lashes on the various passers-by, silently willing them to stay away. She longed for the day that these ridiculous façades would no longer be necessary and despite her general disgruntlement, she had to acknowledge that Rodolphus's appointment was bringing that time closer and closer, but for now it seemed that feigning sleep was the only way to find a moment of peace while out in public.
Such a pity. A few well placed blasting curses would have been so much more entertaining.
