Danny had literally just returned from his business trip to Egypt with Rabbit and was none to pleased when he finally returned back to England. He was not very happy with himself at the moment either -- having let a rather attractive looking belly dancer seduce him into an evening of passion. During he didn't think a thing of it, but something started to nag at him when everything was done and he was left with nothing except for his thoughts. He had felt awful for what happened and he wasn't exactly sure why. Or maybe he knew, but refused to acknowledge it. Those feelings quickly vanished however, when he opened his journal and saw the comments left by Alecto to a certain Sirius Black. Black had made him see red. Others would see this as pure jealousy while he would make up any excuse as to why it was not.
Once back in England, Danny decided to go straight to Ally's place rather than his own. Standing just outside the door, he took a moment to try and collect himself, but the jealous rage would not subside. So he knocked on her door with forceful blows, his knuckles stinging with each hit upon the wooden frame. He didn't wait for someone to answer and simply opened the door himself, entering into the tiny flat. "ALECTO!" He called out angrily, his voice deep and booming as he slammed the door shut behind him.
Alecto had just gotten out of the shower when she heard a banging on her door. She quickly threw her robe on and armed herself with her wand when she saw Danny bursting into her flat screaming at her. Lucky for him, her wards recognized him and didn't set him on fire. But that was beside the point. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" she said, in shock, her wand trained on him. It was then that she noticed he was practically fuming. "Danny, what's wrong with you?"
"No. What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Danny shot back. He suddenly pulled out his journal and flung it at her. The journal hit the floor with a smack and slid a short distance along the floor, stopping at her feet. "Sirius Black?!" He shouted as he pointed to his journal on the floor, not knowing what else to say. He was overcome with jealousy that erupted into anger, though he did not nor would not believe that he was jealous. "You're out of your fucking mind, Ally! Flirting with a bloodtraitor so everyone can see!" He was a hypocrite though he was too blind by his rage to even see it.
Alecto jumped as he threw the journal at her feet. She closed her eyes and lowered her wand. After a long minute, she took a breath and looked directly at him. "Oh? I'm out of my mind for flirting where everyone can see? Funny, that reminds me of a conversation I had with you earlier this week," she said with an icy calm. She continued to glare at him, relishing slightly in the fact that he was jealous. She neatly folded her arms across her chest, watching him as her hair dripped water on the floor. As fun as it was to watch him lose his mind with jealousy, the mere fact that he was not only being hypocritical, but screaming at her was getting under her skin. "You honestly have the nerve to busrt into my home and scream at me?" she asked her voice starting to rise a bit.
Danny narrowed his eyes, his anger steadily increasing with each word she spoke. "Flirting is one thing, fucking is another," he spat with utter distaste. "So yes, I have the nerve to burst into your home and scream at you because I never fucked those that I've commented to!" He continued on, the volume of his tone still elevated. "What the hell am I even saying?! I was not flirting, I was joking around with them, there was no substance to my words!" He was unable to control himself as he was finally able to release this tension that had been eating away at him. His jealousy had gotten the best of him and he nearly wanted to destroy something or someone the evening he read those comments. Rabbit was able to calm him down and even took his journal away.
"What do you care who I fuck, anyway?" she shouted, all her icy calm gone now. "It's not like you're a bloody saint!" she screamed as she kicked his journal back at him. They were never exclusive, except maybe for a few months at Hogwarts, but since then, they had been happily just friends with some glorious benefits. Lately, however, it seemed that they were spending more time together, and getting more emotional when the subject of other people came up. Even if those other people meant nothing. While she chose to ignore those emotions, she was not going to ignore him putting a double standard on their relationship. "Look me in the eye and tell me you haven't fucked someone recently, and I'll back off!"
This relationship of theirs was beginning to take it's toll on him. Danny didn't know which way was up, down, left or right at times as the swirl of emotions flooded his mind at every chance they got. There were feelings he'd never experienced before until now and it was all because of Ally. They were getting too close. "It's Sirius Black, that's why I care!" He countered. "Perhaps you enjoy having a bloodtraitor inside of you, is that it?" He sneered, reverting to fighting dirty now knowing full well that he was submerging himself into a losing battle with her. "I'm sure you enjoyed every second of it, having him fuck you..." He trailed off.
That awful feeling returned, the very one he had felt after he had slept with the Egyptian woman from the festival he attended. Unwilling to show her or himself how he truly felt, he shifted his eyes down for a moment, then shot them back up again without saying a word. He stared at her for a few moments then shook his head lightly.
Alecto's eyes grew dark and after that comment about Black, she crossed the room in a second and slapped him hard in the face. "Fuck you, Danny," she spat. She stayed there, staring him right in the face, waiting for him to answer her question. When all he did was shake his head, she continued her lecture. "Oh, so who did you fuck? Some society bitch? Or some Egyptian slut?" Still in his face, she shoved him backwards into a wall. "You have no right lecturing me about who I sleep with! Especially since I'm just a common whore who doesn't mean anything to you!" her voice was a shriek now, cracking with more emotion than she cared to admit. His words had hurt her. It wasn't as if she'd never called a whore before, but never ever by him. And even though he didn't say the word itself, he may as well have. So she hit him again, this time in the chest.
Danny had not realized the power of his words initially, but was quickly made aware of how harmful they actually were by Ally's sudden reaction. His head jerked to the side when she hit him, the slap hard enough to make the side of his face sting with pain. He didn't bother to turn his head to look at her again knowing very well he deserved that. For a second time he neglected to answer her question and he was sure that his silence was enough of an answer for her. Just as he snapped his head forward again to look at her, he found himself stumbling back and hitting the wall behind him. He let out a soft grunt when his spine met the wall, but it was more out of surprise than anything else. There was a surprised expression on his face, not because she slapped him or even because she shoved him, but because she accused him of not caring about her. Before he could open his mouth in protest, he received yet another blow, this time to his chest. In that instant, he snatched her arm and held it tightly within his grasp. "That's bullshit and you know it!! You know what you mean to me!!" At that, he shoved her arm away and pushed passed her. "Here," he said as he pulled out a small box this time and tossed it to her. "I've got to go..." he said as he bent down to pick up his journal.
His silence did nothing to calm her down. But when he grabbed her arm, Alecto stopped for a moment and looked up at him with a definant look in her eyes. She blinked stupidly a few times at his words, not fully processing his meaning. Before she could respond, he shoved her to the side and went to fetch his journal. Then suddenly he threw something at her, and she caught it without even realizing it. She examined it slowly, not fully comprehending why he just threw this at her. When she opened it, she saw a silver bracelet shining back at her. Alecto's eyes darted from him back to the bracelet, and then back to him. Still angry but also very confused now, she asked, "What the hell is this?"
Danny was steadily backing away from her, slowly making his way towards the door. He had to get out of here and he inwardly decided that they needed a break from each other. As much as he knew he would dislike not spending time with her, he felt it was the best thing for him. Just as he turned around and placed his hand on the doorknob, he heard her ask him about the bracelet. He glanced back over his shoulder at her and shrugged. "It's a gift. Think of it as my way of showing you how much you don't mean to me..." he said in a rather smart ass tone. With that, he turned away from her again, opened the door and left.
Alecto stared at the closed door for a full minute after he left. Then her eyes travelled downward to the open box in her hand, landing on the silver bracelet inside. With a scream, she threw the box and the bracelt inside at the door, watching it bounce off the doorframe and land on the floor with a small clang. She left it there and went back into the bedroom, throwing herself down on the bed. Too many emotions were brewing inside her and felt tears begin to well up in her eyes. "No don't you fucking dare," she shouted to ceiling before punching a pillow and angrily wiping her eyes. She wasn't about to cry over him, no way. She was going to bed, and that was that. Alecto didn't even bother changing out of her robe, she just curled up in a little ball and pulled the covers over her head.
