Hermione turned slightly to shrug Harriet’s hands off her breasts. It was hard enough to think without her best friend pawing at her. Taking a step back, she let her hands slip off Harriet’s shoulders.
She chewed her bottom lip. How could she not have seen it? Harriet and Cho had been so awkward and their seemed like there was something going on with them. So much for being the smartest witch in sixth year, Hermione mused.
“Harriet, I didn’t…know. I’m sorry.” Things had gone badly between her best friend and Cho, know she knew the nature of it. Hermione could have been there for her friend if she’d known.
Having Muggle ideas about homosexuality, she was a little shocked by what Harriet had told her, but she wasn’t appalled like some of the other students at Hogwarts might have been upon learning the news.
Picking up Harriet’s towel, she handed it to her best friend. “Come sit with me, all right?” Her cheeks were colored by Harriet’s admission about finding her pretty. However, the loyal Gryffindor wanted to talk to her best friend more than anything.
