“And you didn’t tell me?” Tracey grinned. She wasn’t actually mad, but it would have been good to know that Heidi and the waitress were friends that way she didn’t look silly when she misjudged the looks and smiles. “Another ex girlfriend?” she teased lightly, knowing she would need to accept Heidi’s past if they had a future together.
“It was very good.” She gave Heidi a gracious nod. “Thanks for lunch.”
“I am ready.” Standing, she put her jacket on and went back out into the cold. Over the next hour, Tracey poked around the apothecary and got a basket full of supplies. Getting to the counter, she prepared to pay for them herself with the proceeds of her potion business.
