Fleur’s kind reassurances made Lavender blush furiously. Though she was embarrassed when the Slytherins were laughing at her, she held her chin up higher when the young Professor actually shut them up. Glancing over at Malfoy, she saw that the French beauty had an effect on him too, much to the obvious dismay of Pansy Parkinson. As if he has a chance in hell, she thought wryly.
Her eyes went a little wide as Fleur winked at her. Swallowing hard, she had to convince herself it wasn’t flirty and was meant to be reassuring. She had to fight not to squirm as it made her eve more excited.
“I’m really sorry, Professor,” Lavender said one more time before taking her seat. She tried to listen as Fleur continued to teach, but she found that she really wasn’t able to take in her words at all as she was too distracted by the teacher herself.
“Nice job,” Parvati teased her when she got back to the table. “I’m surprised you didn’t disappear her clothes.”
“I wish I’d thought of that,” Lavender thought back. The mere thought of such a thing caused Lavender to rub her thighs together before she even realized what she was doing.
She was walking towards the door, the gaggle forming around her when she heard Professor Delacour call to her. Slowly, she turned and blinked. The Slytherins started laughing again as they quickly made their way out, assuming she was in trouble. “Wooo,” Pansy Parkinson even added in an ominously low tone.
Parvati and the others quickly made their way out, assuming the same thing and wanting to escape before they were pulled in. Lavender looked to them for some reassurance but they were already gone.
Stepping back inside, Lavender swallowed hard and brushed the bangs out of her eyes shyly. “Yes, Professor?”
