Tracey was glad that Heidi didn’t push her and the vivid images started to fade once there was some distance between them. “Thanks,” she muttered, pushing how Heidi might feel out of her mind.
Nodding along with Heidi’s explanation, Tracey shifted a little uncomfortably. She’d never really known anyone who’d had a problem with drinking or anything like it so she really was in uncharted territory.
“Shouldn’t you…throw that away then? Dump it out?” Tracey asked, looking to the whiskey bottle. She’d said that Heidi couldn’t drink anymore after that day. However, it seemed like there was no better time then the present for Heidi to stop based on what Tracey had just learned.
“Where…are we going on our date?” she asked, trying to interject something happy for Heidi to ease the horrible tension between them as she tried to forget why she was so upset and angry.
