Pausing with Hermione, Narcissa said her thanks to Madame Malkin as well, promising the woman she would be back the next week to see the finished gown. After the goodbyes were said, Narcissa held the door open for Hermione as they left the shop.
Narcissa smiled softly and in secret relief as Hermione agreed to lunch. As Hermione continued to speak, Narcissa's heart first fell as the girl seemed so official, but it rose again as the girl seemed to take back her words. SHe wondered how the girl really felt about spending time with her..."Well, I am glad that it is not a bore. Usually, Draco humors me and comes along with me, but I know he finds it to be a great bore."
Again, Narcissa admonished herself for speaking of Draco and likening Hermione to her son. What she did not need was to remind the younger witch that she was old enough to be her mother!
"There's a nice little bistro around the corner that I quite enjoy." Narcissa answered. At the mention of wine, her smile grew. "Well, Miss Grancer, you know the way to a woman's heart. I've never ben one to turn down wine."
