The moment's pause didn't seem awkward to Hermione even though it was tense and charged. She looked away as well, trying to figure out what was going on but failing to come to any conclusions; rational or otherwise.
Hermione chuckled, a little surprised that Narcissa would agree with her point so readily. It made her curious just who Narcissa knew that fell into that category. Though Hermione didn't really like gossip, she found she fell victim the curiosity to know from time to time. This was one of those times.
"I heard of a few of them through friends. Of course, I never got invited to them," she added with a tiny hint of bitterness. "It seems there were a few students who preferred...less traditional unions, at least for hooking up, at those parties." She regarded Narcissa. "I'd tell you some...but what happens there, stays there," Hermione added, teasing the older witch.
