Hermione nodded. "I expect that it is a skill that needs to be acquired even if it comes naturally," she mused after Narcissa shrugged off her own expertise.
Hermione wasn't sure what to do once the drinks were ordered but they hadn't been made yet. She shifted from foot to foot for a moment before she willed herself to stop her nervous fidgeting.
Unsure of what to make of the smile, Hermione smiled back a little nervously. "I am too. I started loving it my third year at Hogwarts, actually. I was getting far, far too little sleep and I really needed it in the morning to get going."
Once the tea was ready, she took her cup and paid for both hers and Narcissa's. Making her way to the table, she sat and waited for Narcissa to join her.
"So..." What was she supposed to say. "...should I plan to have someone escort me to the party?" It was a round about way of asking if others, including Narcissa, had a date.
