Lucy flushed as Katie had so easily guessed her crush. Now she could look back on it and laugh, but back then, Lucy had been so infatuated with her. "It was. Penelope. She was just so pretty and smart. She reminded me of Rowena reincarnated. She giggled and shook her head. But I was just an impressionable first year."
"Oh." Lucy nodded. She had to admit that there was a tad bit of jealousy, but mainly she felt sympathetic to Katie and anger towards Alicia for treating Katie so horribly. "She didn't deserve you." Lucy told her lover, covering her hand with her own.
Letting out a laugh at Katie's enthusiasm, Lucy had a feeling she had succeeded in her goals. She was tipsy to, for sure. But she didn't think she was quite as tipsy as Katie.
Nodding, Lucy placed the money for the drinks on the bar along with a tip and then took the arm offered, holding it tight and leaning into Katie, for both of their stability as the exited to the street. Seeing that it was dusk now, Lucy figured that they had been in there longer than she had thought.
