Seeing the movement towards the door, Vaun slid down off the shuttlecraft. Going back to the hatch, he waited for it to open. Taking a long look around, he checked for any sign of hostile colonists lurking in wait. The shuttlecraft opening up could be what they were waiting for.
"Soon," he told the wounded doctor.
T'Pau wondered why she was being asked that. She had no hand in packing the backpacks. Humans.
"The logical reasoning is that they are attempting to simulate the chaos of survival that stranded Starfleet officers are faced with. In such emergencies you often do not get to pick what you take with you and must make do with whatever you find...often picking through wreckage."
That was the logical reasoning. The illogcial reasoning was that it was seen as a joke. Humans often set humor as a priority. Highly illogical.
"It may be best if I change into the other outfit so you may double up on clothing when you go out. It would increase your ability to retain body heat and thus prolong the time you have to gather."
