"Well, not all of us care all too much about looking into you lot enough to distinguish who's who." Victoria replied, Vaun certainly assumed a lot. "Some of us are here to do something with our lives, whether great or small."
"Barbaric, indeed." Commenting just to comment on his statement, she knew better than to let the patient think they were alone in this. However, she knew the antics of teenaged human boys, and this was just one of them.
"Correct you are, Mr. Vaun. However, one so young often draws the attention of many, and the eyes of scrutiny rarely waiver. Her decisions will render her either exceptional or a failure with so many paying such close attention. So, even if there was no 'historical' significance, there would be significance enough to last a hundred years or so."
Doctor Harris kept his features perfectly schooled, making sure not to reveal any of his underlying motives if there were some. "Inappropiate, Mr Vaun. It goes against policies, student-teacher involvement is prohibited." he answered, but didn't answer his question. "Darlington's work has always been precise, detailed and exceptional. Any praise she recieves is much earned." He nodded instead, straightening up and smoothing down his uniform.
Victoria had a small blush on her cheeks, from what Vaun said. That was incredibly awkward! Sure, Doctor Harris was odd, but she never thought of the situation that way. Victoria didn't need any black marks on her public record, Doctor Harris was a well respected doctor, and his recommendations go a long way when it comes to working out in the field.
"Right, well," Harris cleared his throat, heading for the door. "Tomorrow we have field training," he told Victoria, casting Vaun one last look before leaving.
