"I don't know who you are. I don't make it a point to go out and meet every student here at the academy. You happen to be one of four vulcan students currently attending here." She said, not being rude about it but only stating her situation. Surely he didn't know who she was other than the girl in the library.
"Did you not see the ten and some odd blue student out there?" He had to have. They were sitting all over the patient room. "And Thelin, poor guy. Bright pink." The Andorian student looked positively miserable."They all fell victim to a prank, some student injected the food with a temporary strain that changes the pigment in skin."
Going quiet, she grabbed her medical tricorder and began her evaluation, all the while speaking her notes out loud so that her padd recorded it. It was part of her thesis, and her mentor reviewed her work for her after every patient. He preferred to hear them speak the work out loud as well, he felt it better engrained in their mind. Doctor Harris was an odd man, but passionate about his students and field.
Victoria continued, all her focus now on her work as she continued examining Vaun, making sure to list off key points pertaining to Vulcan physiology. Towards the end of her exam, the door opened to reveal Doctor Harris. Seeing it was his star pupil, a huge grin spread across his features. Victoria did not notice his entrance right away.
"Patient is in excellent condition. No illness nor wounds, reflexes fine. End." Setting her tricorder down, she finally saw Doctor Harris. "Hello, Doctor." She smiled at him, sending him the Vulcan's medical charts along with her notes for his peer review. The doctor reviewed it as Victoria went to grab the nasal blockers Vaun needed. His reason for his visit already documented.
"Always, always, always excellent work, Miss Darlington. Can you believe she passed up being a captain for this? Coulda been the youngest woman captain in starfleet history!" It never ceased to astound the doctor that Victoria would pass the test to become a captain, but still decide she wasn't to be a doctor... it was unheard of!
"There is more work to be done here, Doctor." Victoria answered professionally, nodding graciously and humbly at the compliments. The Doctor laughed lightly, signing off on Vaun's nasal blockers. "Well, Thelin's asking for you. He says he'd rather have you check him out than Zachariah."
